SynopsisStatistics has the tools to solve even the most complicated problems within an organization. This subject will introduce students to statistical techniques that will enable them to study a problem, put forward a hypothesis, collect data, analyse the data and put forward a solution with a probability assessment attached to it. The critical skills that the student will acquire will stand them in good stead when they start on their project work.

  • Apply the concepts of Statistics in problem-solving
  • Conduct statistical hypothesis testing to arrive at logical conclusions
  • Present statistical analysis and hypothesis testing results on data using statistical software package through oral presentation and written report in a team
