Biography

KS Sagathevarn is a highly experienced lecturer with over 30 years of teaching experience and holds a PhD from University Malaya.  He is currently the Head of the Science and Engineering Resources Department at Sunway College, where he manages the operations of 14 Science labs conducting practical for 6 pre-university programs.

Dr. Sagathevarn’s interests lie in various fields of science such as Ecology, Marine Biology, Biodiversity and taxidermy.  He has set up the Biological Specimen Collection, Aquarium lab, Pet House with exotic pets, and pond with water lilies and aquatic plants.  His latest initiative involves the establishment of a Highland Plant Conservatory that houses rare and endangered carnivorous plants.

In addition to his scientific interests, Dr. Sagathevarn is a member of Mensa and served as the National Testing Officer for several years.  He is also a founding member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM- Malaysian Ring). He also has a collection of science puzzles and optical illusions.

Furthermore, Dr. Sagathevarn has a wide range of interests that include Yoga, Meditation and the Science of Vastu (original Feng-Shui).  He is currently the Adjunct Principal Teaching Fellow in the MSDM program in JSC – Sunway University.
