Centre for English Language Studies (CELS)

Centre for English Language Studies (CELS) supports the holistic development of English language fluency and accuracy for Sunway College and Sunway University students. CELS provides vital English language skills development for students and professionals of the future.

There are two sections within the centre — the Intensive English Programme (IEP) and the English for Specific Academic Purposes (ESAP) unit.

IEP is a full-time course that prepares students with the English language skills necessary to undertake college or university-level programmes taught in English.

The ESAP unit provides specialist English language subjects integrated into Diplomas and Degrees. The credit-bearing courses are customised for each course from Business to Information Technology to Tourism and much more.

The Academic Language Learning service situated in the Library provides support for academic writing for students and staff.

We empower our learners with international English for further study and globalised professions.
