Overview
This introductory course provides students with a foundation in the Korean language through the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students will learn basic Korean grammar, vocabulary, and sentence patterns for everyday communication, as well as the Korean writing system, Hangeul. Cultural topics related to Korean history, traditions, and contemporary society are integrated into the lessons to enhance intercultural understanding. Designed for absolute beginners, this course aims to build confidence, encourage active language use, and motivate students to continue their studies for higher levels.
On completing the course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of basic vocabulary, grammar and writing system in Korean language.
- Communicate with familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases in Korean language.
- Present unique aspects of Korean culture
