Talk with Canada's Minister of International Trade: Empowering Women of International Trade
In conjunction with the official visit of the Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, the Honorable Mary Ng, the Canadian Embassy is organising a ‘Women Entrepreneur Panel Discussion’ to celebrate local role models, bring greater awareness to the challenges of women in business, and inspire the next generation of women leaders in Malaysia. The panel discussion is scheduled to take place on the 25th of March 2024, from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm.
The objectives for the panel discussion are as follows:
- Explore the challenges facing entrepreneurs and businesswomen in Malaysia and share the Canadian experience
- Promote the participation of women in business and highlight Canada’s approach
- Underscore the Government of Canada’s commitment to gender equality and highlight how Canada’s Feminist Foreign policy has increased women’s participation and the benefits this has for greater economic prosperity.
The panel discussion will comprise of the following:
- The Honorable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, Canada
- Prof. Dato’ Elizabeth Lee, Group CEO, Sunway Education Group
- Ms. Norilmi Amilia Ismail, Founder of SpaceIn
- Ms. Amanda Sivaraj, COO and Co-Founder of Cemozai
This discussion will be moderated by journalist and activist, Ms. Tehmina Kaoosji.
