Shadows of Heritage: A Symposium On Wayang Kulit And Malaysian Traditional Puppetry

We are pleased to inform you that Sunway Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage will be hosting a symposium titled “Shadows of Heritage: Wayang Kulit and Traditional Puppetry in Malaysia” on 12 April 2025.

Scholars and practitioners will present their research and discuss issues related to the performance of traditional Malaysian puppetry.

The symposium is free of charge and we will provide lunch and some light refreshments, as well as a guided tour of our "Wayang Kulit - A Living Legacy" Exhibition by our curators.
