Conflict-Sensitive Reporting and the Cambodia–Thailand Border Conflict: The Role of Journalists in Facilitating Depolarisation
As media narratives, disinformation and hate speech continue to shape Cambodia–Thailand tensions, how can journalists report on the conflict responsibly and help reduce social polarisation between the two societies?
Join Sunway University and Asia Centre for a panel discussion examining the role of conflict-sensitive reporting in addressing polarising narratives and promoting dialogue. Bringing together journalists and regional experts from Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia, the discussion will explore how independent media can support information integrity, mutual understanding and societal depolarisation.
