ASK Dance Company presents Nadhirah Rahmat and Imran Syafiq in Crossing Borders in Bharatanatyam — an evening of Bharatanatyam repertoire featuring nritta (pure dance), abhinaya (expression), and storytelling.
The performance celebrates their dedication and continued practice of this classical art form, exploring Bharatanatyam beyond the borders of race and cultural identity, while honouring its rich traditions and heritage.
The evening also features Mahsuri, a retelling of the well-loved Malaysian folk tale through the vocabulary and expression of Bharatanatyam.
