ECRL – The Track to Tomorrow: Redefining Malaysia’s Global Supply Chain & Sustainable Growth, 13 March 2026
You are cordially invited to attend an upcoming industry guest sharing session co-organised by the Jeffrey Sachs Center (JSC) on Sustainable Development and Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd.
The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) is a 665 km electrified railway project expected to connect Malaysia’s East and West Coasts by 2027. This think-tank session will explore the ECRL’s role as a “landbridge” linking Port Klang and Kuantan Port, reshaping Global Supply Chain and reducing reliance on maritime routes.
This special session, designed for Sunway Students and Staff, will examine how this mega-project balances industrial growth with ESG commitments, including renewable energy initiatives and carbon reduction efforts. Join us to learn how the ECRL contributes to sustainable economic rebalancing and how you can be part of Malaysia’s evolving industrial future.
