Sunway University, in collaboration with Rakan Tutor, invites you and your children to Malaysia’s largest AI competition—the National AI Competition 2026 —and stand to win RM 2 MILLION IN BURSARIES & PRIZES.

In alignment with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs), this competition themed ‘Sustainable Innovation for a Better Future’ encourages students to develop AI-driven solutions with real-world impact. The challenge? Propose an innovative, sustainable and practical idea that addresses one or more UN-SDGs and create positive impact on society, the environment or the economy.

Who Can Join?

  • Category A: Form 4, Form 5, Year 10, Year 11, Senior Middle 1, Senior Middle 2 students
  • Category B: STPM, UEC, Diploma, Pre-University programme students
  • *Compete in teams of four—each student may join one track in one category.

  • Complimentary AI masterclass: 31 March – 2 April 2026
  • Preliminary proposal submission: 4 May 2026
  • Announcement of finalists: 15 May 2026
  • Grand finals: 13 June 2026 @ Sunway University campus
