Clubs, Societies and Sports Awards Ceremony 2018

The Clubs, Societies and Sports Awards Ceremony 2018 was held on the 21st November to celebrate and reward the achievements of Sunway’s many clubs. As Malaysia’s #MostHappeningCampus, Sunway places a huge emphasis on providing students with a variety of clubs to cater to a spectrum of interests. Ms Amanda from Student Life believes that clubs are an excellent platform for the development of useful social skills and talents, complementing academic knowledge learnt in the classroom. Students can also stand to widen their social circle through participating in clubs as they will meet people who share the same passions as them.

The highlight of the event were the presentation of certificates and awards. The members and committee of each club received certificates for their active participation and leaderships throughout the year. Awards for outstanding individuals and clubs were also given to recognise their meritorious achievements. With everyone feeling jubilant upon attaining their prizes, the event concluded on a high note.

The Sunway Cheerleading Team, a powerful force in the cheerleading scene, celebrated being honoured as the Most Outstanding Sports Club and meanwhile, AIESEC in Sunway Club was honoured as the Most Outstanding Club for the non-sports category.
