Sunway lecturer won Ranjeet Bhagwan Singh (RBS) Medical Research Grant

Congratulations to, Isabel Yee (Research Centre for Biomedical Sciences (RCBS)) who has won the Ranjeet Bhagwan Singh (RBS) Medical Research Grant of RM30,000. The project title is “Design of a live attenuated vaccine (LAV) for the prevention of severe hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) caused by Enterovirus 71 (EV-A71)”. Isabel is now pursuing her PhD in Biology studies under Head of RCBS, Prof Poh Chit Laa’s supervision.

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) is the custodian of the Dr Ranjeet Bhagwan Singh (RBS) Medical Research Trust Fund. This trust fund promotes medical and bio-medical research in Malaysia. The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) is entrusted by MOSTI to implement the grant programme.
