Sunway University's School of Hospitality and Service Management in Top 150 of QS World University Rankings
Sunway University's School of Hospitality and Service Management (SHSM) has performed exceptionally well in the 2022 QS World University Rankings, being placed top 150 alongside other highly-esteemed institutions with distinguished hospitality and leisure management portfolios, such as The University of Arizona (US), University of Strathclyde (Scotland, UK), the Russell Group university - University of Birmingham (UK), Boston University (US) as well as Macau University of Science and Technology (Macau SAR).
Professor Marcus Stephenson, the Dean of the School of Hospitality and Service Management expresses: “This is an incredible achievement given that the School submitted data in late 2020 and was only established as a separate School under the 'University' framework in early 2017. Although this rise to success has taken us by surprise, we have had a clear strategy in place. This recognition is crucial as it exhibits the School's utmost commitment to quality education and research, which translates to effective student learning, academic application as well as industry training and engagement. I would like to extend a word of thanks to all colleagues who have made this possible."
SHSM has leveraged the significant goodwill and tremendous support of Sunway Group, which has been significant in the development of the School's international conferences by adding value to the exchange of knowledge and ideas in the world of academia. Indeed, SHSM offers an effective platform for researchers and educators in hospitality to share their latest innovations and state-of-the-art research, pertinent to further knowledge contribution in this subject area.
SHSM is devoted to expanding its research and educational horizons. We are open to international and regional collaborations in the fields of hospitality and tourism, events and culinary arts. Contact us at @email for collaboration opportunities.
