PhD Student Nur Syahirah Receives MTSF Research Grant

Sunway University would like to congratulate Doctor of Philosophy in Sustainability Science and Technology student Nur Syahirah Binti Mohamed Hatta, who has been selected as one of the recipients of the Year 2023 Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) Science & Technology Research Grant of RM12,000.00. 

She was awarded this grant for the research project entitled "Fabrication of heteroatom-doped porous carbon using various green amino acid salts for CO2 adsorption". The Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) is a charitable science foundation established to promote science and technology in Malaysia. The grant was presented to Nur Syahirah during the 30th Prize Presentation Ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Nur Syahirah’s PhD supervisors are Professor Mohamed Kheireddine Aroua, Dr Farihahusnah Hussin and Associate Professor Dr Jane Gew Lai Ti.
