A Meaningful Research Experience in Taipei
Dr Tan Ee Wern recently returned from a rewarding short-term research attachment and participation in the 2024 International TransMedTech Conference at Taipei Medical University (TMU). This immersive experience greatly expanded her knowledge and appreciation of drug discovery research, made possible through the generous mentorship of Professor Shiow-Lin Pan and her dedicated research team.
During her time at TMU, she had the honour of presenting her research both during the attachment and at the international conference. These moments provided her with the invaluable opportunity to engage with leading experts in the medical research community and to exchange insights on the latest advancements in the field.
She extends her heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Shiow-Lin Pan, Prof. Wei-Chun Huangfu, and Prof. Chao-Jung Wu for their unwavering support, mentorship, and warm hospitality throughout her visit. Special thanks are also due to her mentor, Prof. Bey Hing Goh, whose steadfast guidance and connection to TMU made this journey possible.
