SET PhD Students Win Best Presenter Award!
Mr Yasir Ali Bhutto, under the supervision of Professor Adarsh Kumar, Professor Saidur Rahman [Research Centre for Nano-Materials and Energy Technology (RCNMET)] and Dr Mahendran Samykano [Universiti Malaysia Pahang] won the Best Presenter Award at the 4th Joint Higher Degree by Research Conference (JHDRC 2024) in the Building and Environment category, held on 4 & 5 September 2024. He presented his presentation on the topic “Green synthesized Bamboo Shell particles embedded Phase Change Materials: enhancing thermo-physical properties for sustainable energy storage applications”.
The Joint Higher Degree by Research Conference is an annual collaborative effort by doctoral candidates from participating universities. JHDRC 2024 is hosted by Sunway University, Malaysia (SU) in partnership with James Cook University, Singapore (JCUS), Taylor’s University, Malaysia (TU) and University of Reading, Malaysia (UoRM).
Mr Hafiz Kashif Razzaq, under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr Numan Arshid and Dr Muhammad Norhaffis Mustafa [Sunway Centre for Electrochemical Energy and Sustainable Technology (SCEEST)] and Professor Mohammad Khalid [University of Glasgow], who has been selected for the prestigious International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP) under the auspices of Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). This internship presents a unique opportunity for the student's research development.
Duration : 3 months (October 1, 2024 to 31st January 2025)
Living Allowance : 30,000 NTD per month
