Sunway Student Volunteers Spread Joy and Hope at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre

Our Sunway Student Volunteers were incredibly privileged to bring smiles and joy to the children at Ward P5A of Universiti Malaya Medical Centre through the Hospital Visit Program on 2 November 2024. This heartwarming initiative, organised in collaboration with the Childhood Cancer Caring Society of Kuala Lumpur (CARES), saw five enthusiastic volunteers dedicating their time to connect with young cancer patients through fun games and meaningful conversations.

The morning was filled with laughter, shared stories, and plenty of heartfelt moments. From playing board games to simply chatting with the children, every interaction created opportunities to brighten their day and leave them with happy memories. The resilience and positivity of these young warriors were nothing short of inspiring. Despite their challenges, their smiles and energy reminded us of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of small acts of kindness.

The volunteers themselves were deeply moved by the children’s courage and optimism, which served as a powerful reminder of how much love and human connection can uplift those in need. It was truly humbling to be part of their journey, offering support and encouragement to remind them that they are not alone in their battles. Seeing the joy on their faces made every moment of the visit meaningful and unforgettable.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to CARES and Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for making this program possible. It was a day filled with love, hope, and cherished memories, leaving all of us with full hearts and a renewed appreciation for the impact of community and compassion. We look forward to creating more opportunities like this to spread love and support to those who need it most. Until next time, let’s continue to make a difference, one smile at a time!
