Sunway University has been ranked as the 7th most sustainable institution in Malaysia, according to the prestigious QS Sustainability Rankings 2025. A total of 29 Malaysian institutions were ranked. In Asia, Sunway University was ranked #97 out of 661 institutions. These rankings aim to evaluate and showcase the social and environmental impact of universities as centres of education and research, while also considering their role as major employers. They consider the operational sustainability challenges that any large and complex organisation, such as a university, must navigate to create a positive impact.
