Sunway University and Biogenes Technologies Sdn Bhd Embark on Promising Collaboration in Aptamer Research
In a momentous stride towards scientific advancement, Sunway University and Biogenes Technologies Sdn Bhd have officially signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a dynamic collaboration in the field of aptamer research and discovery. This partnership brings together the expertise and vision of both institutions, with joint research efforts set to take place at the Sunway Biofunctional Molecules Discovery Centre (SBMDC), under the Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences (FMLS).
This collaboration would not have been possible without the steadfast support and guidance of key individuals. Our deepest appreciation goes to Prof. Sibrand Poppema, Prof. Mahendhiran Sanggaran Nair, Prof. Raja Affendi Raja Ali, Mr Kok Mun Tang (Chief Operating Officer, Biogenes), and Dr Yew Joon Tam (Chief Scientific Officer, Biogenes), whose leadership and commitment have been instrumental in forging this partnership.
The signing ceremony was further graced by the presence of Mr Cheng Kim Sing, Mr Daniel Lee Lih Wei, Dr Ser Hooi Leng, Ms Hani Zakaria, and the dedicated SBMDC team: Prof. Goh Bey Hing. Ally Yeo, Dr Tan Ee Wern, and Dr Tan Yee Seng. Also in attendance was Ms Keyun Look, a soon-to-be Sunway University graduate, who recently completed her internship with Biogenes Technologies, a symbol of the future talent this partnership hopes to inspire.
