Sunway University recently provided its students with an enriching international exposure experience through a visit to the High Commission of the Republic of Singapore 🇸🇬 in Kuala Lumpur. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the High Commission of the Republic of Singapore for facilitating this invaluable opportunity for our students.

During the visit, our students had a special meeting with Mr Sharmeel Rajaratnam (Counsellor - Administration and Consular), Ms Charlene Chan (Counsellor - Political), and Mr Seow Wei Liang (Second Secretary - Political), who generously shared their time and expertise. We also thank Ms. Kelly for her crucial support in arranging this event. The students gained a deeper understanding of the High Commission's role in Malaysia and the mutual commitment of both nations to strengthening bilateral relations.

Additionally, the students explored the High Commission's gallery, which highlighted Singapore's rich history. This experience not only expanded their knowledge but also provided valuable insights into the diplomatic efforts and historical connections between Singapore and Malaysia.

Engaging with diplomats and exploring the gallery had a profound impact on our students by offering practical exposure to international relations. This visit fostered a deeper appreciation for the complexities of diplomacy and the importance of maintaining robust bilateral ties. Such experiences enhance critical thinking, cultural awareness, and professional networking skills, preparing students for future careers in global affairs.

Overall, this visit was a valuable educational experience that enriched our students' understanding of international relations and diplomacy in Southeast Asia.
