Advancing Microgrid Efficiency Through Innovative Statistical Modeling Techniques

The study, titled "Techno-economic Feasibility of Utilizing Electrical Load Forecasting in Microgrid Optimization Planning", reveals the transformative role of advanced statistical modeling techniques in enhancing microgrid efficiency. Leveraging methodologies such as time series analysis and regression—core elements of our BSc (Hons) Statistical Data Modelling program—the research optimizes long-term electricity forecasting through innovative hybrid models like PSO-LSTM-XGBoost. The findings underline significant benefits, including cost reduction, improved system reliability, and seamless renewable energy integration. This study demonstrates how the analytical tools we teach are shaping sustainable energy solutions and driving impactful research globally.
