Courtesy Visit from UTS, MEITD & Yayasan Sarawak to Sunway University
We were honoured to host a distinguished delegation of 11 representatives from Universiti Teknologi Sarawak (UTS), the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD), and Yayasan Sarawak during their courtesy visit to Sunway University. Among the esteemed guests were YB Datuk Dr Annuar Bin Rapaee, a cardiologist and Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), as well as Datu Mohamad Junaidi Mohidin, Director of Yayasan Sarawak.
The primary aim of this visit was to introduce and promote our Medical Program, proudly offered through the Sir Jeffrey Cheah Sunway Medical School, which includes:
Department of Biomedical Sciences
Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery
Department of Medical Education
During the visit, our guests were given a tour of our state-of-the-art teaching and research labs at Level 3 and 4, followed by a visit to Sunway Medical Centre (SunMed), where our medical students receive hands-on clinical training. We also showcased the Sunway Sanctuary, highlighting the holistic approach we take in health education and community wellness.
It was a meaningful afternoon of sharing, learning, and future collaboration. A sincere thank you to our distinguished guests for their time and interest in Sunway’s growing role in advancing medical education in Malaysia.
