External Engagement: ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Summit 2025

We had a good engagement during the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Summit 2025, themed “Connecting Businesses with Policymakers,” which was held at the World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur, from 17 to 20 September 2025. We participated on Day 4, 20 September 2025.

The summit provided an excellent platform for us to interact with key organisations and policymakers, enabling meaningful discussions on future collaborations. Through these engagements, we secured opportunities for our students to benefit from career development initiatives, entrepreneurial projects, and business-related support programmes. These connections not only opened pathways for internships, training, and mentorship, but also strengthened our efforts in preparing students to meet industry needs and explore entrepreneurial ventures. Overall, the summit created long-term value by bridging academia, industry, and policy to support student growth and professional success.

We sincerely thank the Parliament of Malaysia for giving us this valuable opportunity. We also thank Mr Kishan Buxani, Special Functions Officer to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Parliament of Malaysia, for his kind support and assistance.

Lastly, we truly appreciate our students – Wong Kien Leong, Husna Izzati, Pravin Periasamy, Mohamed Al Zarai, Zaynah Idris, Ranjjhiini V Vangamani, Satana M S Pandian, Guo Hao Soong, Wei Sen Tiew, Khor Jou Chian, and Yi Jo Soo – for joining this summit and proudly representing Sunway University with enthusiasm and commitment.
