Fostering Malaysia–Hungary Collaboration in Education and Culture

Sunway University was well-represented last night at the reception organized by the Embassy of Hungary, Kuala Lumpur, where Associate Professor Dr Tamas Kiss received the 'Pro Cultura Hungarica' Award, a government level recognition for promoting Hungarian culture and education and building bilateral links between Hungary and Malaysia. The Guest of Honor was YB Datuk Ts. Mustapha Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Higher Education.

At the event Professor Dato' Elizabeth Lee announced that Sunway University will be offering scholarships for Hungarian students; the details of the programme will be released in the coming few weeks.

Also representing Sunway University were Professor Chai Lay Ching, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and Associate Professor Nicholas Lee, Head of the Centre for English Language Studies (CELS) Sunway University.
