Introducing RAIZ Dining+
We are delighted to announce the rebranding of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management’s Level 6 Dining Room to RAIZ Dining+!
Derived from the Spanish word for “root,” RAIZ reflects the grounding values of the restaurant as a learning space where students start from the basics and enhance their skill and confidence. Phonetically, RAIZ also plays on both “rise” and “rice” — symbolising continuous growth and paying homage to a beloved staple of Malaysian cuisine. This layered meaning reflects our commitment to nurturing talent while staying rooted in culture and community.
RAIZ Dining+ will continue to serve as an experiential space for dining events, workshops, and student-led service simulations. We are honoured to uphold our role in shaping future hospitality professionals through real-world, hands-on experiences that bridge classroom learning with industry expectations.
