Nurses Day 2025: Honouring the Heart of Healthcare
The School of Nursing at Sunway University came together to celebrate Nurses Day, paying tribute to the dedication, resilience, and compassion of nurses who form the backbone of our healthcare system.
Themed “Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies,” the day was filled with meaningful seminars, community-driven initiatives, and heartfelt celebrations.
The morning kicked off with a nursing seminar featuring insightful presentations by faculty and post-basic nursing students, highlighting how strategic investment in nurses strengthens healthcare systems and drives economic sustainability.
In the spirit of giving, the event also launched a blood donation drive and health screening sessions, offering BMI and blood pressure checks, a timely reminder of the importance of preventative care and community wellness.
The celebration continued in the afternoon with an awards ceremony, recognizing exceptional students and staff for their outstanding contributions to the profession. A talent show followed, filled with laughter and creativity, showcasing the vibrant spirit of our nursing community. The day ended on a warm note with high tea, providing space for reflection, connection, and appreciation.
