Psychology Career Forum 2025: Exploring Diverse Career Paths in Psychology

On 20th May 2025, the School of Psychology at Sunway University, in collaboration with Sunway Career Services, proudly hosted the Psychology Career Forum: “Exploring Diverse Career Paths in Psychology” a dynamic and inspiring event that brought together psychology students and seasoned professionals for a morning of learning, guidance, and possibility.

Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Woo Pei Jun, Deputy Dean (Employability and Alumni), the forum featured an outstanding panel of professionals from diverse psychology-related fields:

With over 70 psychology students in attendance, the session was filled with rich insights, career reflections, and practical advice. Panellists candidly shared their journeys, discussed key industry skills, and provided actionable tips on postgraduate studies, licensure, internships, and building a future-ready psychology career.

The forum aimed to:
✅ Showcase the breadth of opportunities in psychology from clinical and counselling to sport psychology and global health.
✅ Equip students with career-readiness tools, including networking strategies and guidance for navigating the evolving mental health landscape.

The event concluded with a vibrant Q&A session, where students asked thoughtful questions about career planning, global opportunities, and work-life balance.
