Sunway Business School extends our heartfelt appreciation to Ms Nadiah Hanim Abdul Latif, Sustainability & Social Impact Leader, for her inspiring session titled #RareButReal: From Rare Disease Stigma to Developing an Ecosystem, held on 10 July 2025.

Through a deeply personal and powerful sharing, Ms Nadiah guided our students and staff through the realities of living with and advocating for rare diseases, urging us to rethink inclusion, build stronger support ecosystems, and challenge the social stigma that persists around rare conditions.

As a purpose-driven leader with over two decades of experience spanning corporate sustainability, humanitarian work, and social justice, Ms Nadiah embodies what it means to lead with compassion and impact.

Her extensive contributions include her roles as President of the Malaysian Rare Disorders Society (MRDS), Regional Representative for the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation ,co-founder of several social enterprises.

We thank Ms Nadiah for reminding us that meaningful change requires collective commitment and that kindness is just as powerful as boldness.

Her advocacy aligns closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals Ltd, reinforcing our belief that education should drive both awareness and action.

Let us continue championing inclusivity and amplifying voices that are too often unheard.
