Research Engagement Week 2025

What an inspiring start to #REW2025

From the opening address by Professor Sibrand Poppema to the PGR Forum on “Bridging Academia, Industry and Community” moderated by Professor Mahendhiran Sanggaran Nair, today highlighted how research can create real-world impact.

Our PhD Graduate Spotlight showcased innovation across disciplines, while the 3-Minute Thesis Competition brought sharp, creative presentations that impressed both judges and the audience. The day closed with our vibrant PGR Cultural Kaleidoscope Dinner, celebrating connections across cultures and research fields.

A strong beginning to three days of discovery, dialogue, and collaboration!

Day 2 of #REW2025 was all about sharing journeys and showcasing ideas. The morning’s PGR Panel Discussion on the “Supervision Journey” offered valuable insights for postgraduate researchers, followed by diverse breakout sessions featuring early-stage research in social sciences, life sciences, engineering, and IT.

The energy carried into the PGR Poster Competition, where creativity and communication skills took centre stage. It was inspiring to see how our researchers are shaping solutions for the future.
