From Sunway to Porto: ICCAUni Scholarship Recipients Head to ICCA Congress 2025
We are honoured and excited to share that two of our outstanding students, Lee Xin Yee and Tan Shin Yi from the BSc (Hons) Conventions and Events Management programme, have been awarded the prestigious ICCAUni Scholarship 2025! As part of the scholarship, they will be heading to Porto, Portugal to attend the 64th ICCA Congress from 9-12 November 2025.
This incredible opportunity will allow them to:
- Contribute to research projects and hands-on learning at the Congress
- Take part in a year-long mentorship with global industry leaders
- Access ICCA’s Business Intelligence database and extensive knowledge hub
- Explore potential internships and career pathways within ICCA member organisations
To commemorate this milestone, we held an award ceremony where Dr Daniel Chong Ka Leong (Dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Sunway University), Puan Suhaini Ibrahim (Programme Leader), and Ms. June Quay (Senior School Manager) shared a few words of encouragement and congratulations. Xin Yee and Shin Yi also expressed their heartfelt gratitude and excitement on receiving this scholarship, sharing their hopes to make a meaningful impact in the business events industry.
