Sunway University Signs MoU with Asia Pacific Retail Academy (APRA)

Sunway University and Asia Pacific Retail Academy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance ties with the retail industry and promote academic collaboration on 15 January 2025.

The MoU, marking Asia Pacific Retail Academy’s first collaboration with a private university in East Asia, was signed by Professor Sibrand Poppema (President, Sunway University) and Dr Vincent Kong (President, Asia Pacific Retail Academy), witnessed by Professor Abhimanyu Veerakumarasivam (Provost, Sunway University) and Mr James Loke Chee Kwang (Presidential Advisor, Malaysia Retailers Association).

This partnership signifies a milestone in Sunway University’s commitment to bridging academia and industry, fostering innovation, and cultivating industry-ready graduates in retail management.

Both institutions look forward to a fruitful collaboration that will contribute to the development of future retail leaders in Malaysia and beyond.
