Supporting Student Well-Being Through Experiential Learning

School of Nursing

As part of an ongoing initiative to enhance student engagement and holistic development, a scenic picnic and chocolate factory tour were recently organized for the Bachelor of Nursing students.

Amidst the demands of their academic schedules, this thoughtfully planned outing provided students with a much-needed opportunity to relax, recharge, and foster meaningful peer connections. The day began with a peaceful outdoor picnic that encouraged open conversations, laughter, and team bonding through light-hearted activities.

The experience continued with an educational tour of a local chocolate factory, where students gained insights into the chocolate-making process, from raw ingredients to the final product. The tour was both informative and enjoyable, offering students the chance to explore something new while indulging in sweet samples along the way.

The initiative was led by the students’ group coordinator, who expressed immense joy in witnessing the students’ camaraderie, engagement, and enthusiasm throughout the day. Beyond providing a brief respite from their coursework, the outing reinforced the importance of balancing academic rigor with wellness and personal growth.

Such initiatives play a key role in nurturing future healthcare professionals who are not only academically capable but also emotionally resilient and socially connected.
