SUSC Battle of the Brains: Cultivating Connection Through Campus Collaboration
The External Relations Department of the Sunway University Student Council (SUSC) officially wrapped up its inaugural Battle of the Brains game show on 14th March 2025, marking a significant milestone in fostering student engagement and kickstarting cross-campus collaboration. Inspired by the classic Family Feud format, the event brought together some of the brightest minds from Sunway University, Taylor’s University, Multimedia University, and Monash University—truly fulfilling its aim of being a platform for fun, community, and collaboration.
The event featured a total of eight teams, comprising participants from both various Sunway clubs and external institutions. With over 80 attendees, the atmosphere was electric as the competition flowed seamlessly from preliminary rounds to a thrilling grand finale, where a team of Myanmarese students emerged victorious. The laughter, excitement, and shared joy throughout the
evening transformed the event into far more than just a competition—it was a truly memorable experience.
What made Battle of the Brains truly special was the infectious energy and camaraderie that filled the room. More than just a game show, it served as a vibrant student bonding experience—bringing together individuals from different campuses in an atmosphere of light-hearted fun. From unexpected answers and bursts of laughter to spontaneous moments that had the crowd cheering, it broke the ice instantly and created space for genuine connection. The participation of external university teams added a fresh and dynamic element, turning the evening into a celebration of unity, friendship, and student spirit across institutions.
Ultimately, Battle of the Brains proved to be more than just a game night—it was a statement of unity, creativity, and collaboration. It has set the stage for future cross-campus initiatives and stands as a shining example of what student councils can achieve when driven by innovation and purpose.
