Congratulations to Hor Jia Jie for winning InnovateX Special Award and Gold at IGIIdeation 2026
Congratulations to our BSc (Hons) Information Technology (Computer Networking and Security), Year 3 student — Hor Jia Jie — for his outstanding achievement at the 2nd IGIIdeation 2026, organised by KICT, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
His project, AegisCode: AI-Enhanced Static Code Analyzer for Secure Coding Support (IGI041), leverages artificial intelligence to automatically detect security vulnerabilities in source code, empowering developers to write safer and more secure software. The project earned both the prestigious InnovateX Special Award and a Gold Award.
This remarkable achievement was accomplished under the guidance of Dr Maisarah Mansor, Lecturer at the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (Department of Smart Computing and Cyber Resilience).
