Congratulations to Professor Mayeen Uddin Khandaker and Dr Ali Taheri on Successful Patent Filing
Congratulations to Prof. Mayeen Uddin Khandaker and his student, Dr Ali Taheri, from the Doctor of Philosophy in Sustainability Science and Technology programme, on the successful filing of their patent titled "A Method of Optimising Nanorod-Mediated Vascular Targeting".
The method models radiation dose at the level of individual endothelial cells and applies corrections for confined-geometry effects and charged particle equilibrium disruption. This enables more reliable evaluation of localized dose enhancement and optimization of nanorod geometry, concentration, distribution, and irradiation conditions, supporting targeted radiotherapy and related biomedical applications while reducing reliance on extensive empirical experimentation.
Both inventors acknowledged the collaborations of Adjunct Honorary Distinguished Professor David Andrew Bradley (Sunway University) and Dr Farhad Moradi (University of Malaya) to this work.
Congratulations to all involved on this significant research and innovation achievement.
