The Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences was deeply honored to host a distinguished delegation from the National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM) on 12th February 2026.

We were privileged to welcome the NIBM team, led by their esteemed CEO, Prof. Datuk Wira Dr Raha Abdul Rahim, alongside key leaders Dr Chin Wai Hoe (CIO of NIBM), Dr Syahrilnizam Abdullah (Director of MGVI), and Dr Tye Gee Jun (Director of IPharm).

The core of this visit featured a dynamic strategic discussion focused on exploring high-level collaborations and bridging the synergies between NIBM and Sunway University. We proudly introduced our robust research ecosystem and constituent departments, highlighting the cutting-edge work driven by our specialized centers.

It is truly inspiring to witness the convergence of national research institutes and academia. We look forward to accelerating Malaysia's biotechnology, translational research, and health innovation agendas through these vital national networks!
