Lead with Purpose: ROI to ROV
Most businesses are not short on data. The harder question is whether the metrics they rely on are showing them the full picture or drawing an artificial boundary around what their strategy can reach.
The metrics a business chooses are not neutral. They determine what gets managed, what gets invested in, and ultimately, what becomes possible.
On 23rd May, IGSC - Sunway Institute for Global Strategy and Competitiveness conducted the fourth session of Module 3 of our Lead with Purpose: ROI to ROV programme.
Representatives from the plastics, logistics, and manufacturing sectors worked through the practical process of identifying and developing ROV metrics suited to their organisations, with a focus on building a strategy that captures their Return on Values beyond conventional metrics.
As aptly said by Dr Cornelia C. Walther,
we should not treasure what we measure, rather measure what we treasure.
It was encouraging to see many participants arriving with questions shaped by their own implementation experiences since the earlier modules. The exchanges were candid and grounded, reflecting a group that is actively working through what this transition looks like in practice.
