Professor Numan Arshid and Adjunct Professor Mohammad Khalid Successfully Granted a Patent

Congratulations to Professor Numan Arshid from the Sunway Centre for Electrochemical Energy and Sustainable Technology (SCEEST), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University, on the official grant of his patent titled: “𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐗𝐞𝐧𝐞”. We also acknowledge the contribution of Adjunct Professor Mohammad Khalid to this significant achievement.

 

The patented approach introduces an Advanced Microwave-Assisted Synthesis route that reduces MXene synthesis time from ~48 hours to ~30 minutes at near-ambient temperature. Applicable across the MXene family, it enables both stacked lamellar and delaminated MXenes with high structural integrity, strengthening the pathway toward faster, more efficient, and scalable materials development for research and industry translation.
