QS Leadership Visit Sunway University, Welcomed by Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah and Prof. Dato’ Elizabeth Lee

As one of the world’s most prestigious and influential university ranking organisations, QS Quacquarelli Symonds has long been respected by students, academics, and institutions worldwide for its rigorous, globally benchmarked assessments.

Sunway University was deeply honoured to host the Chief Executive Officer of QS, Jessica Turner, alongside Regional Partnership Director E Way Chong, Global Operations Director Richard Evemy, and Regional Partnership Executive Yi Yin Tham. Their visit underscored the strong and growing engagement between QS and institutions committed to academic excellence and global impact.

Also present were Sunway Group Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah KBE AO and Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Education, Prof. Dato’ Elizabeth Lee, marking a significant gathering of global education leaders. Representing Sunway University were Provost and Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abhimanyu Veerakumarasivam; Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education, Employability and Alumni), Prof. Chai Lay Ching; and Acting Director of the Centre for Ranking, Impact and Analytics, Dr Tan Hsiao Wei.

The day’s programme featured a boardroom discussion on future collaborations and the evolving landscape of higher education, held at the newly launched Sunway Square campus. The engagement concluded with a dinner at Sunway Resort Hotel, providing further opportunity for meaningful dialogue and strengthened partnerships.
