Sip & Stretch: Wellness Collaboration with Dimples Pilates Studio
The External Relations Department of Sunway University Student Council (SUSC) recently brought wellness and movement to campus through Sip & Stretch, a collaborative initiative with Dimples Pilates Studio designed to encourage members of the Sunway community to prioritise their physical and mental well-being.
More than just a fitness session, Sip & Stretch created a space for participants to step away from their usual academic routines, recharge, and connect with others through mindful movement. The initiative featured two sessions tailored to different members of the university community. The first session offered students an engaging Pilates class, providing an opportunity to stay active while taking a break from their academic commitments. The second session introduced Mat Yoga, welcoming both students and lecturers to participate in a shared wellness experience.
Through guided movement and a welcoming environment, participants were encouraged to embrace wellness as an important part of their everyday lives. The collaboration with Dimples Pilates Studio also highlighted the value of bringing external partners and expertise into the university environment, creating opportunities for the Sunway community to experience new activities and perspectives beyond the classroom.
Sip & Stretch reflects the External Relations Department’s efforts to establish meaningful collaborations that contribute to a more engaging and well-rounded campus experience. By connecting the university community with external partners, the initiative aims to create experiences that encourage participation, connection, and personal well-being.
The initiative also reflects the Sunway University Student Council’s broader commitment to enriching university life. Beyond organising major events, SUSC strives to create opportunities for students to connect, grow, discover new interests, and build meaningful experiences throughout their university journey. Through initiatives such as Sip & Stretch, the Council continues to support a campus environment where student well-being, community, and holistic development remain an integral part of university life.
