Advancing its commitment to global sustainability and planetary health, Sunway University proudly hosted the "Plastic-Free Society - NGTM Conclave 2026 Malaysia." The international forum welcomed nearly 250 high school students and 40 educators from Tamil Nadu, India.

Youth-Led Innovations & Shared Vision
Throughout the event, visiting students presented original research and practical strategies to eliminate single-use plastics from daily life. In exchange, Sunway University showcased its own campus-wide sustainability initiatives, ongoing environmental research, and dedicated planetary health education programs.

Planetary Health Through Arts
Beyond scientific research and policy strategies, the conclave celebrated environmental stewardship through the arts. The visiting students delivered vibrant cultural performances, utilizing traditional dance, poetry, and music to communicate planetary health best practices.
