Sunway University x Nestlé Professional Malaysia: Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

We are honoured to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sunway University and Nestlé Professional Malaysia, aiming to strengthen the development of future-ready culinary talents. This partnership is powered by the Young Culinary Talents (YOCUTA) programme — a global initiative designed to equip youth with essential culinary competencies, hands-on experience, and real-world industry exposure.

The MoU signing ceremony, held at Sunway University, was witnessed by key academic and industry leaders including Professor Sibrand Poppema, President of Sunway University; Professor Dr Daniel Chong Ka Leong, DBA, CHT, Dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Sunway University; Ms Woon Lai Yit, Business Executive Officer of @Nestlé Professional MYSG; and Ms Tazeen Kazi - Shehryar, Food Business Manager of Nestlé Professional Malaysia, alongside representatives supporting the implementation of YOCUTA.

We also extend our appreciation to special guests Professor Dato’ Elizabeth Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Education Group, and Ms Corinna Cheang, Regional HR Head for Nestlé Professional, for their presence and support during the ceremony.

The YOCUTA programme further promotes sustainability, innovation, and workforce readiness, preparing students for impactful careers in Malaysia’s fast-growing foodservice sector.
