Teqball at Sun-U! Sunway University Receives Professional Teqball Table from the Hungarian Embassy

Sunway University was honoured to host His Excellency Dr Sipos Sándor, Ambassador of Hungary to Malaysia, for the official handover of a professional Teqball table. This generous donation, originating from Hungary, the birthplace of the sport, marks a significant milestone in promoting the sport within the university community.

The event also served as a productive meeting between university leadership and Mr Siva Kumar Jakarathan, President of the Teqball Association Malaysia (TAM). The discussion focused on establishing a strategic collaboration between Sunway University and TAM to foster the development of Teqball in the region.

This partnership aligns with the ambitious goal of elevating Malaysia’s standing in the international Teqball arena. The collaborative vision focuses on preparing Malaysian athletes to secure gold medals at the SEA Games, with the ultimate objective of clinching Malaysia’s first-ever Olympic gold medal once Teqball is officially included in the Olympic programme.
