Biography
Dr Melody Tan has more than 6 years' experience teaching in the tertiary education sector. She loves educating and encouraging students to find their passions. Prior to joining Sunway University, she was working as a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader. Her experience in academia includes teaching various courses such as mathematics, statistics, analytics, and programming. Her doctoral thesis was on the Character Network Analysis of Two Science Fiction Series – Stargate and Star Trek. Her research involves Data Science, Network Analysis, Statistical Analysis and Data Mining. She is a council member of the Malaysian Institute of Physics (IFM).
