Biography
Ir Dr Teo Hiu Hong is a professional engineer with practising certicate (BEM) who has many years working experiences in industries before he joined academic. He is also a member of Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and International Association of Engineers (IAENG). He obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), previously known as KUITTHO. He also received his Master of Manufacturing System Engineering and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). His specialisation covers areas of mechanical design, finite element analysis, dynamic simulation, artificial intelligence, and additive manufacturing, particularly on robotic, internet of things, pressure vessel, mechanical structural steel, and commercial truck body. He has authored numerous journal articles, patents, and industrial design. He has also received innovation awards and research grants such as Majlis Anugerah Inovasi TUDM, PERINTIS IUKL, MIExpo UPM, and FRGS.
