Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeeda Fatimah Mohamad is a Malaysian environmental scholar and academic leader who serves as the Director of the Universiti Malaya Sustainability and Development Centre (UMSDC) and an Associate Professor at the Department of Science and Technology Studies (STS), Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya (UM). She holds a B.Sc. in Ecology from Universiti Malaya, an M.Sc. in Environmental Management and Policy from Lund University in Sweden, and a Ph.D. in Science and Technology Policy from the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex, UK. A pioneer in campus sustainability activism and living lab initiatives, she served as the founding director of UM's Community and Sustainability Centre (UMCARES) and principal investigator for action-research projects like the UM Water Warriors. Her research focuses on science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy for sustainable development, sustainability transitions, participatory watershed management, and place-based citizen science.
