Calling for Student Participants
We invite passionate and driven students from Sunway University and Lancaster University to apply for a unique collaborative workshop experience at Sunway University, Malaysia. Over six days, selected participants will team up and work closely with three distinguished industry professionals — a Film Director, Sound Designer, and Theatre Director — as well as academics from both universities. Through masterclasses and hands-on sessions, participants will develop and produce a short film inspired by the festival’s 2025 theme: Echoes, Vibes and Horizons.
This intensive programme blends creative exploration with practical production. Participants will have full access to Sunway University's facilities, including:
- Professional film equipment (etc. digital cameras, lighting kits, sound gear)
- Mac Labs and editing suites with industry-standard software (you’re welcome to bring your own devices!)
Each team will receive continuous feedback and support throughout the creative process, leading up to the final screening of their work at the festival exhibition.
