School of Hospitality Chefs Joined Hands with Sunway Resort for Mother’s Day Celebration
Mothers definitely have a special place in every one’s hearts. This year, Mother’s Day is definitely an extra special occasion for the School of Hospitality, Sunway University and Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa. The culinary team comprising Chef Soon Pau Voon, Chef Chong Wei Tzeh, Chef Yee Suet Rene and Chef Lee Han Ying from the School of Hospitality led by Prof Chef Patrick Siau prepared a scrumptious spread of delectable desserts to be served to guests at The Resort Café at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa. The team was also supported by culinary student volunteers, where they had the opportunity to work alongside a world class pastry team to hone their culinary skills – in line with the School’s approach towards experiential learning.
This event was attended by Dr Elizabeth Lee - Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Education Group, and special guests from Harvard University, the Center for Asian Leadership and Manipal University.
All guests were surely up for a sweet treat and all mothers were also gifted a “pandan butter cake based with caramelised with coconut filling, rich buttercream frosting topped with fresh mango cubes”. This special collaboration is celebrated by the School of Hospitality, where the chefs, students and Sunway partners joined hands to make this event a success.
