Soaring Upwards: Innovation Unleashed

The School of Medical and Life Sciences would like to express the highest gratitude to the departments and staff involved in organizing the postgraduate research symposium themed "Soaring Upwards: Innovation Unleashed" on 4th July 2023. It was a successful and fruitful event, where we gained support from participants from the Department of Biological Sciences, Department of Medical Sciences, and Department of Psychology. Many undergraduates and postgraduates from SMLS also attended this event by listening to the welcome speech given our Prof. Mahendhiran Nair (Pro-Vice Chancellor in Research Engagement and Impact), Prof. Raja Affendi Raja Ali (Dean of SMLS), followed by sharing session of Head of Departments (Assoc. Prof. Dr Kavita Reginald, Prof. Datin Dr Chia Yook Chin, and Dr Pei Jun Woo) to give information about the research available and scholarship(s) for postgraduate studies. The students also had the opportunity to listen to oral presentations, visit the posters, and meet their potential supervisors.

Also, congratulations to the best oral presenter (Arjun Thanaraju) and two best poster presenters (Yap Jie (Zacchary) and Ervin Yap).
