- Partnerships
Held at the Suntec Convention Centre, a workshop was held by Sunway University's Prof Mahendhiran Nair, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research and Sustainability) and Daniel Lee Lih Wei, Director of Research & Sustainability (Pro Vice Chancellor's Office). This workshop explored how universities can become anchor institutions for urban resilience, partnering with communities, local governments, and businesses to co-create solutions for urgent social issues such as poverty, housing insecurity, and systemic inequality.
Sunway University’s participation in Impact Week 2025 highlights its commitment to advancing sustainable development beyond the classroom. The Desa Mentari Community Development Programme stands as a living example of this vision in action—showcasing how meaningful partnerships between academia, communities, and industry can create scalable solutions to pressing societal challenges.
